Thanks Poon. Hello Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 mini review

Ordered the new toy last week on Tues and finally got it this morning. It was a really nice surprise considering I was expecting it tomorrow. Also a nicer surprise, Poon throws in a Kenko UV filter. I wasn't expecting that at all! Thanks mate!
Anyhoo took the lens home to try it out and nearly shat myself when the MF ring won't work until I remembered a review I read stating about a Push, Pull mechanism. Ahhh now it works. Phew. Took a couple of test shots from 2.8 to 22. Very sharp throughout. Especially at 2.8 considering I was thinking it was going to be slightly soft like the Sigma 70-200mm 2.8
Only neg thing is, the damn thing sounds like Robocop when auto-focusing and the zoom ring is stiff. But overall very happy.
Also I would like to thank Gary for helping me with my inquiries. Well appreciated.
