Benro tripod

Postby Spooky on Wed May 09, 2007 11:31 pm

Hi

Picked up a Benro C-328 N6 tripod.

First impressions are positive. Bigger than I thought it would be and looks plenty stable. I have connected up my BH-55 and wimberley sidekick and it seems to work sweet.

I will give it a real world test on the weekend and report further then.

cheers

Cost me $430 delivered from a HK ebay seller which I think is a pretty good deal.

Well, I have had a bit of a play with the tripod now and can report that overall I am very happy. It seems quite rigid. Teamed with my RRS-BH55 ballhead I have a very usable combination that will handle a considerable weight.

The only issue is the size and weight of the combination to carry, but I found lighter cheaper pods don't have the strength to hold decent lenses steady in a variety of positions, you end up with something drooping.

So I will just have to put up with the weight.

On the ballhead generally very happy with it but obviously not a cheap item so you would expect top performance.
