Here's a post for Birddog. It has his favourite ingredients, fine Nikon glass and fine REDS  :

Testing resolution of 105mm micro. (I'll be testing the contents a little later tonight! ) Taken at 1/80sec, f5.6, available light, handheld, at about 15 cm from bottle. Click pic for larger image.

And assuming that is not your usual Sunday night tipple, what is the occasion?

Well, just returned from drinking the Grange (he says casually).

It's definitely not my normal Sunday night's tipple, but I have been an avid red wine collector for many years. I regularly bought Grange on release and cellared it, back before you had to ransom your family to be able to afford it.

The bottle photographed is the second bottle of the dozen I bought of the '86 vintage. It is drinking superbly right now, so I guess I'll get through the rest of this vintage over the next couple of years.

Tonight was a dinner (I cooked!) for some of our oldest friends - in fact we go right back to Grade 5. Instead of going away together this Easter, we have stayed at home, and tonight it was my pleasure to put together our wine and food.

It's on occasions such as this that I realise how wonderful life really is!

:D

And it's not over the photo (no offence intended).

Guess I'll just sit back and cry into my VB!
