For Arthur - repeated #4 (SB800 with diffuser) and dialed -2/3 EV on the flash  :

For some reason these images aren't loading properly for me.
I'm using Opera - not sure if it's a problem for anyone else. I had to open the links individually & make use of the cache images.
In any case, thanks for all the effort. (You even did what Arthur was requesting  )
I actually think I like number one best :) (though I'm sure it would have been a totally different shutter speed). I like the domeless LSII shot second best. LSII with dome comes a close 3rd. BTW, thanks for placing the titles directly above the images. It saves having to scroll up to find out which image is which.

I posted this set of images on smugmug because Pixspot seemed very slow today.
They have come up every time for me on Firefox, but if I try with IE the won't load :? :!:
I uploaded the images via Firefox - could that have a bearing?

I reloaded the images, this time on Pixspot, and changed all the links.
Seems to be OK now.

Thanks for the interesting comparison shots Trevor, very helpful... Gee the LSII seems to produce a natural soft light...
