Manual lens upgrade - question

Is here, in Australia, particulary in Sydney, anybody who can upgrade manual lens with cpu metering?

Have a go at talking to Camera Clinic in Melbourne; they are the Nikon service agent here and there is a good chance they can help you out.

Some else suggested them as well when I asked this question.

The person who had it done in this forum was not happy with it.

So i just got rid of mine. The glass was nothing special (my lense).

Sadly it is getting harder and more expensive to get camera gear serviced anywhere and many of the skills of the good technicians are getting replaced by the "pull out the whole board and replace it" culture that has been part of the computer industry for the past decade. Sadly most repair tasks are now costing more than what the importers paid to get these cameras into the country.
