Archos AV700 portable DVR

I'm impressed by this portable DVR, perhaps my next lust of the 100Gb version :wink:

Archos make some nice gear. That looks better than most of the options for portable photo storage :) No mention of screen resolution though. I might have to dig further.

Problems of this unit is: It doesn't come with the card reader :(

Technical specs are here

Screen is 7” LCD 480x234 pixels, 262 000 colours. From the specs my rough maths make it 3.5" high. My equally rough maths make that 53.5 pixels per inch.

By compasrison the Epson P-2000 is 3.8 inch LCD 640x480 pixels, 262,144 colours with a resolution of 212 pixels per inch

But I suspect the P-2000 is still better. Why are you lusting this new toy? Where is it the P-2000 lets you down?

It has pretty poor video support and lacks the DVR function.

Yes, the P-2000 is lot better and I still keep it.
The AV700 is just another toy for my kids can copy movies and bring it up to the Bay.
