i dunno to be honest,
i never tested out the 80-400 before, is the af is as quick as say the 80-200? i like the specs of it but i wanted a white one i think they don't sell them anymore. i know the 300 f/2.8 will perform as well 300f/4 if iam really desparate for something small with reach cheap as well so i can buy an another body to boot. Will a D100 still be on your list if the D200 is announced in the first week of September?
If I'm right, you read it her first.... If I'm wrong, you didn't read it here as I'll delete this post If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??

You've got it! price range of the D200 is similar to the price once the D100 was released, forget about the D100, it slips into history but still working well and produce stunning photos as usual. Birddog114
