Hi
I bit the bullet and ordered 85mm 1.4D len on AW special, and it stay in its box until today 27-8-05 I pull it out and give it a go, the lens is well built easy to use, I use most in P, A, S mode, my eye is not too good to use it in manual due to long focal lenght. Any way easy to use, it has no zoom to to worry about, just point and shoot.Below is some sample from today at Lakemba.
Pic 1 : Face painting
Pic 2 : Belly Dancing
Pic 3: Arabia Dance
Pic 4 :Columbia dance
Pic 5 : Some more Columbia dancers
Pic 6 :Face painting again
Pic 7 :Another dancer.....
I think it worth the money spent, image quality is better than my 50mm1.4 in portrait shot at cloudy day.And one point note is this lens mainly for portrait as you can see in pics, a group shot is not as good as portrait shot, and finally I am quite happy with it.
