Recognise this Beetle?I have no idea what family this beetle belongs to - maybe one of our more learned forum members may know.
Cheers Chris Chris

Looks like a Hibiscus harlequin beetle Chris, if the following text is anything to go by.
Quote from "Wildlife of Greater Brisbane" text "Rounded, convex bugs of bright metallic greens, blues and reds. Back completely covered with shieldlike plate - the scutellum. Suck sap from hibiscus plants and their relatives. Main native food plant is the beach hibiscus. Females lay clusters of eggs around twigs and guard them until they hatch" Cheers Graham
Greg,
No!!!!! He's dead, remember? Clearly - look at the shape - it's a new model from Wolfsburg. I love the pile of teeny hubcaps that it's left behind, though, although one would like to think that they were more firmly attached so that they didn't fall off into a heap like this. g.

I could respond with "FORE!", which would bring us around to golf, of which there's a model from Wolfsburg, which means that we've gone full circle, but I thought better of it and decided to spare y'all from that.
