Laguna Beach at sunsetThe weather's not been the best - quite a storm yesterday, in fact - but here's a few images from the other evening. We had a latish lunch and then just waited for the sun to set over Catalina Island.
'Twas a little disappointing, but maybe I'll be able to grab some shots at Mission Beach this evening. g.

Nice shotsHi Gary
That looks like a nice fillet of blue-eye you were served for dinner. And a couple of moody sunset shots too - seeing the sun set into the ocean is terrific, isn't it? See ya Trevor
Trevor,
The Mahi Mahi was actually Walt's; I had Sole with spinach, preceeded by cerviche, but I was sitting too close to get a good (in focus) image of them with the 24-120. I should have passed the camera to Walt. I'll throw a couple more images from Thursday up later this evening. There's one of a rose that I took from within Las Brisas; it was outside and not in an optimum position - but the colours and sharpness are very nice. Also perhaps one of the general view from our table. g.

They look great Gary - I like the one with the two seagulls in loose formation.
It doesn't look bad for the middle of winter either! Greg - - - - D200 etc

Nice shots Gary, but this time of year over there guess you take the good with the bad. Even the tucker looks ok too. Uhm now i'm hungry!!

Ok.
I've added a few more images; these extra pnes were all taken earlier, from where we were seated within the restaurant. They're all taken looking though a window (dirty) and show you the general view that we had, a couple of close-ups of the flowers outside the restaurant, and a couple of zooms right into the bird colony on the rocks outside the main bay at the beach. g.

Dinner looks tasty.
I think you've found the perfect couple with the D70 and 24-120VR. Steve.

Got it; thanx. Also saw another similar one, further towards the right in the bottom section, but you can't really see it in that image.
