Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

I went out on Sunday with my boss to take some images of his Radio Control Tunnel Hull boat. This thing absolutely rocks, especially when the water is smooth like glass. Unfortunately it wasn’t on Sunday but was good enough to have a few quick runs. This thing has a 11cc K&B outboard engine and capable of 60+ km/h.
I haven’t had any experience at panning with the camera, and trying to keep up with this monster (about 1m in length) with the centre focus dot was a task in itself. The acceleration of these boats out of a corner is amazing.
I started out the morning with a shutter speed of 400 and then moved to 800. I think I cranked it up to much as the 800 took too much of the movement out.

Did your boss buy this as a kit or make it from scratch? Also how much did it cost?

These images were taken at Middle Creek @ Narrabeen Lakes, seeing your local. Most Sunday's around 9am you may fine 1 - 4 guys running their boats depending on the wind, eg too much wind = too much chop and they can't run.
My boss picked up this boat on Ebay for about $500 complete. To buy the parts individually your looking at a lot more $$$.
Here is one more, this is a larger boat and runs a Zenoha engine (basically a very nicely tuned whipper snipper engine). Being a deep-v made the boat more stable in the choppy water.
He was making nice rooster tails with the water.
