So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Veeery belated challenge entry ....... yes, I am one of the guilty ones that had every intention of entering and not sure what happened ...... where has the time gone?
This was my proposed image but I'm not completely happy with it - it's not really 'doing' anything. Anyone have suggestions on how to save it? A better sky maybe? (BTW, is the Dish at Parkes, NSW) Cheers, Elena Elena
I think there is too much foreground clutter in this image and the colour, well it is lacking in contrast and "pop". The dish is. or was inteded to be the focal point and it is lost in the vegetation. When the light does not play ball it is sometimes worth trying a black and white conversion. I hope I have not offended..

I completely agree. The dish is hidden but I couldn't work out how to bring more attention to it (without getting a bulldozer ...) I like the B&W idea, will have a play and see what happens.
Thanks for your input! Elena
