Mountain StormI've been spending today going through some of my unprocessed pics from the last year, and this one has me stumped. I really like the darkness of it, but is it too much?
Taken in August on my second trip home to NZ for the year *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
I really like the toning in this one
but I think it would improve if you trimmed half of the black area off the bottom as there is a little too much and it draws your eye down looking for some sort of detail removing the dark area would also give the impression of a lighter overall photo without changing the tone of the shot just looking at it now in the review panel under where I'm typing this now I can trim the bottom and it changes the image as I thought it would
I love it. Great colours, massive amount of ambiance.
The foreground could probably be cropped a little higher, as the large black area below the mountain does detract, but that could also be my uncalibrated monitor... Gah, Keith beat me to it by a minute...I did the same cropping with the preview window! C&C more than welcome!
Canon 300d...(hopefully not for too long though) http://www.redbubble.com/people/HandleBars
Definitely crop some of the foreground and you will have a real winner. Fantastic image Leon.

This is a haunting image! I agree that the foreground could be cropped away!
Would look great up on the wall in a Den or similar!
