went up to clare to shoot some shots, instead.

1/250, f8, iso100, nikon d200 w/10.5fish 1x 383, 1x555



self crit:

lighting is good

the fisheye does a reasonable job of accentuating how high this dude does his turndown to fakies.

composition was hard... this park is surrounded by trees, and the ambient was still quite strong at this point. i think the trees are a little distracting. the quarter was also super slippery, which made composition even more difficult with the fish.

there is a very feint shadow of me leaning in with the camera to get the shot.

overall i think the shot is good, the trick is awesome, but the points i mention detract.

That shot really works
It shows the rider, shows attitude of the trick, the image fits in the back ground. Awesomely well set up. Great shot.

the only thing I would do is clone in some of the trees to cover the patch of bright grass on the left... the rest is perfect

That's pretty cool. The lens distortion has really enhanced the feel of the image.

I like this shot. I do not comment on too many of your pics, because a lot of the time, I feel I have nothing to add.

The rider stands out from the background, and is easy enough to see. I think in a lot of your shots (due to the background) the rider blends into the background and is hard to see. This is definitely not the case here.

I read your self crit, and I would not have thought / seen some of those things if you had not mentioned them yourself. I think sometimes we are own harshest critic.
