Moose head found on frozen lakeOkay, not quite what you thought but a great way to keep your beer cold. About 40 metres from the shore. The ice was about 4 inches thick and the deep groaning noises it makes echo across the lake in a most eerie way.... Something no Queenslander gets to hear very often!

Thanks DM and Dodge.
DM - it was passable but the temperatures dictated a quick shift to the warming properties of several varieties of red wine that were on offer. And there I stayed.... Simon

Simon,
Great shot. You're even almost nailed the wb, which is looking just a tad blue on the mac. This would make a great advertising shot, or even a magazine cover. g.

Thanks all. Makes my lying face down down on the ice worth it!
Gary - You're definitely right about the bluish WB. I can only blame a slow brain during late night processing! Simon

Great find and an equally good shot. Should offer this one to the brewer, I am sure that they would also love it.

Thank you Rel and John. I appreciate your comments. I'll have a play around with it to try to brighten the label a bit without blowing things. Should come up okay with some selective dodging.
(PS - It wasn't such a great find. I found it in my hand then just bent down and stuck it in the snow. ) Simon

Sorry to disappoint Matt. Being an animal-lover and all, perhaps I could do the equivalent of how we bury things up to their necks in sand at the beach? (Now where's that ice cutter of mine....?) Simon
