Experimenting with composition and B & WC & C would be much appreciated
I like this - it is simple, the composition is good, the B&W really suits it.

Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug

Great use of light and space here. You've balanced the woman nicely with the picture frame. And the spray of light onto her really draws the eye well. All up - an artful image. Peter

yep. I`m with Bluebell, a tiny crop from the top might hel p it.
But that is only a gripe, not a real peice of crit. The light is balanced perfectly and the shot has a really nice atmosphere to it. I really like it. It´s a nice change seeing as I have been looking at nothing but PJ images for the past few weeks.
I'd like to see either the primary light source moved around towards the front of the model a little, or else a reflector brought into play on the model's lh side, so that the shadows and contrast around her nose and the lh side of her face are reduced in intensity,

Going from colour to B&W ie grayscale screws an image in pshop FACT. Try using the hue sat and desaturatute you will get a very balanced result with a warm grayscale effect. curve effects, level settings ect will get your own special effects as well
I must say everyone has their own ways of creating an effect an d you must experiment!. don't go with the norm, be creative and have a go, try something different Cheers jethro shoot it real.
look! and see. Shoot and feel
I like the image but I find the shadow to the right of the head distracting, maybe the sugestions that Gary has given will soften this
Cheers Rod
