Velvia Colour, before & after

here is a quick test using Velvia plug-in which I have purchased. I have found that it lifts the colours on dull & overcast days and late evening.

here is the before........ shot early evening and in shade


here is the after


...... the colour, contrast and dynamic range are very well controlled, but to show the difference I have gone a little brighter with the colours to show the control. For me some where in between

I wonder what effect just increasing levels and playing with curves would have had on the same image?
