Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

I was on Trimouille Island (part of the Montebello Islands) and for you who know your history, yes, this is the island where the brit's conducted nuclear bomb testing in the 50's, one of the largest nukes set off in australia was here... but back to the subject... while we were cooling down on the beach of the island this fellow was a bit nosey and came right up to us! he was on the hunt for turtle eggs, but found us instead! he was chillled, he posed away and let me get up close and didn't move. if anyone can identify him exactly wat type, i'd be interested to know  btw... i apologise for 2 of them being slightly bluish, i just noticed it myself and its too late to fix them now     and for you who want to know... was taken with canon 30d and 70-200 2.8

Love these, the light in the lower half of the fist is distracting try cropping, love 2 and 3 the pattern on the lizard and the texture of the sand go together so well.

Love the perspective and shallow DOF. Yes it would make a lovely print. I believe it's a Sand Goanna or Gould's Monitor. I have a friendly(mostly) that i hand feed at my campsite on the Mitchell River on the Cape in Q'ld. A very large one at that. cheers marco
