Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Self PortraitOK this might be a little too much for some. I had to do a self portrait for part of a monthly comp. I really don't like self portraits. So I thought I would do an abstract one. This is 3 exposures taken in a single frame over 10 seconds. To really see the image, you have to move waaaaay back from the monitor (you really only see the image from distance). For a little help, my face should be looking right back at you (as deformed as it is). C&C most welcome on this one.

Re: Self Portraitfor those having trouble seeing it. The Mouth part is actually my beard, but you know what I mean.
Re: Self PortraitWell Nigel I hope the generic descriptors are all that is common in this self portrait and under no circumstances show it to the kids A line from a movie comes to mind... "I am not an ANIMAL!"

What I meant was that it looks like a photo of a Supreme Being: God. (Now that Charlton Heston has died ) TFF (Trevor)

Re: Self Portrait LOL it does have that look about it. In a grotesque sort of way. I am really happy with it. To do a self portrait that looks nothing like me and yet is me kind of forfills my artistic bone.
Re: Self PortraitFantastic arty concept. Well done. I like it.
