Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Sunrise on Outcrop of Barnacles

Braved the Sou' Wester this morning for some sunrise shots at Wickham Point.

The first one shows the morning sun hitting thousands of barnacles on the rocky platforms.

The second is pre-dawn colours reflected in the tidal rock pools and the interesting rock textures.

Comments welcome

I cant decide which one I like more. Dammit I think I have to wake up and shoot some myself, there must be a beach in Sydney that will give me some good dawn shots.

So much dedication, and you definately deserve the results, mornings are pretty cold down here, what is it like up there?

I prefer the first one, but I find the lighting in the foreground overdone to my taste .

That is the thing, you got plenty of choice in Sydney for dawn shots, you have to be able to see what is there. Before going out with Paul I could not see half of what is there to be photographed ( I am still not very good, lack of artistic sense  )

# 1 grabbed my attention. Well composed with lots of interest and spot on shutter speed to get that nice creamy effect of the foam. Good shooting !
