Some night shotsI enjoyed the recent challenge of trying to paint with light , a good excuse to take photos when I normally only take photos when I'm somewhere nice!! It was very interesting trying to focus!!
The first has its exposure lightened a little compared to the second. I like how it shows some green gaseous cloud/star/ comet formation. Trying to decide between the first two which I like cos I also like the silhouette version. Little blowhole at Kiama A local wharf at Como in Sydney's south Robert Robert

Re: Some night shotsComo Wharf shot is quite nice although I think the harshness of the flash mighn't neccesarily compliment the rest of the picture. Is it possible that the green marks in photo one are actually lense flare from the lighthouse? Could you actually see that green with the naked eye before you took the shot?
I personally quite like the blowhole shot. the shutter speed you've used makes it look like one of those funky 70's fibre optic lamps.
Re: Some night shotsI like the first although it's a bit overexposed on the lighthouse...looks like there is a lightbeam coming down from the heavens...
Re: Some night shotsRobert
Defintently the Wharf for me but I tend to agree with wheels and I think to flash used to to harsh on the end result. Tone that backa bit and your onto a winner for sure hrpermier Jase 4869 Guess What! ........I Have A Fever........And The Only Perscription........Is More Cowbell.
Re: Some night shotsThe wharf looks good - just cut the bottom and it looks great!

Re: Some night shotsThanks guys,
I liked the wharf shot but not sure if it was a bit bland or monochrome. For those mentioning exposure and flash- it was a 30second exposure and the foreground and wharf lit by a torch, not flash. Maybe i will darken it a shade- thanks for the feedback. Robert Robert
