Re: 1st shots with a D60, please commentI like the second picture Shazzm, the Pelican.
You've captured some interesting behaviour there. The murky green water spoils the duck picture IMO, and shooting from a lower angle, parallel with the bird if possible would help composition. Welcome, and I'm sure you'll enjoy your new camera Nikon D700 D300
Re: 1st shots with a D60, please commentAll three have great focus points, the colour is good (including the green water) and I hope to see more from you and your D60

Re: 1st shots with a D60, please commentFor a newbie you are doing way better than I would have done! Great work and looking forward to seeing more from you.
The green water is a matter of taste and can be changed very easily in post if you wish so...
Re: 1st shots with a D60, please commentThanks guys and gals,
yes, i agree that i don't like the green water, but i haven't been able to get my raw files into CS2. I have combed the Adobe site and found lots of info, downloaded camera raw 3.1 and installed it, but it still won't open my raw. so I guess the water will stay green. thanks for the feedback, the D60 is pretty great to use. I love it. carry it with me everywhere.
