Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Re: ForgottenChris
This post of yours got the same response that the shopping trolley got - just ignored and left in the backwater of an otherwise busy forum. Still, I know the feeling, I've never managed to post an image that's attracted any C & C either. About every couple of months I try again, sometimes I've posted an image I like, one I'm even a little proud of, but normally I'll post an image that I feel a bit stuck on, to see if I can draw any comment or feedback from the great teachers and 'togs here but after two years I guess I must admit to failure. No one seems to notice my images. At least your recent posts, whilst not getting commented on, did draw more than 40 views. My last post in this forum didn't even get that. Perhaps we should form a sub forum for abandoned images and unloved shopping trolleys? Cheers

Re: Forgotten
It would be the largest one here. I know how you feel. Same happens to me a lot of the time. I do get some feedback occasionally though. Sometimes I think the only way to get feedback is to put NSFW in the title. To be fair though, I rarely comment on photos myself. I feel I lack the eye. Sometimes on a technical point as I feel more comfortable in that arena, and sometimes if the image has been ignored. Another factor here of late is that posts are getting harder to find. I generally rely on the "Recent Posts" tab to show me stuff, but with the weird "buglet" there, I often miss posts that I come across later after someone else has commented on. This one is an example. THe photo: I like the mood in this one, but wonder if it might have been better captured further from home. It looks like it is outside a shop & therefore not too far from where it should be. Greg
