Birds, low level shootingI went out to the park to take some photos for an article on low level shooting for my blog, so thought I'd share a couple. Those interested can see more shots and read the article here.
Re: Birds, low level shootingThanks Richard,
I enjoyed your article as well as the pics. Nikon D700 D300
Re: Birds, low level shootingThanks for these. They are beautiful examples of practical use for the low level technique that you describe..

I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.
Re: Birds, low level shootingLovely selection of shots, super sharp nicely saturated. #2 is my favourite.
Re: Birds, low level shootingThey are lovely. Great DOF. Number 2 looks like a cartoon character!
Re: Birds, low level shootingI love the birds, esp #1.
Did you blur the fore- and backgrounds? Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
Re: Birds, low level shootingGreat shots,
super smooth OOF/bokeh- the blur is in itself is almost foreground/background interest. Robert

Re: Birds, low level shootingThese are really great shots, and I thoroughly enjoyed your article. I have been trying shooting from a low angle recently, and found that it invariably gives more interesting photos. You've inspired me to get even lower!

Re: Birds, low level shootingThanks for the kind replies. It's good to know the article was well recieved and has given some inspiration as that is always the idea when I write that sort of thing.
With regards to blurring the fore and backgrounds, thats just part of the effect you get from using this technique and one of the reasons I enjoy doing it
Re: Birds, low level shootingEnjoyed the article and love the shots you have produced, great detail, saturation, dof.
