Wentworth Falls part 3OK we've seen the top of Wentworth Falls, gone down some stairs & checked out as far as most tourists go. Now we're off to the base of the falls
So we go down some stairs, then down some ladders with cages around them (can't believe I didn't get a picture of the ladders) 5 of 'em from memory. Down the rope And here we are at the base of the falls Of course I didn't stop here I just kept going another 1/2 hour down (very steeply) the track - so more to come later
Re: Wentworth Falls part 3So you got to within 500 metres of home & didn't even say hello :humph:
Seriously, these are great photos. You did well to get as much water as you did though. Did you get as far as Hippocrene Falls? or did you just do the Valley of the Waters loop via Federal Pass. It has been many years since I have got down there. Gotta get fit first though Those stairs are anything but Slack Greg
It's easy to be good... when there is nothing else to do
Re: Wentworth Falls part 3Great effort, and great pictures to tell the story. Can I say that the colours look very much like the ones that came out of my S5 Pro when I was shooting down at the Pool of Siloam earlier in the year, and I didnt think they were all that accurate.

Re: Wentworth Falls part 3
Sorry Mr D. I was in a hurry to get to the base this trip & too exhausted to stop on the way home , next time I get a day off I'll give you a yell though. I'm sure there are easier locations up your way to poit a lens at Not sure about Hippocrene falls, I guess not. Bugger I'll have to go back. Might wait until after the heat dies down a bit, should i give you a call . as for valley of waters loop, nah that's for girls. I went back out the way I came & passed a guy sufferring from vertigo coming down the ladders (poor fella)
Re: Wentworth Falls part 3Nicely done! I couldn't have negotiated these stairs, ladders and rope that's for sure.
Your shutter speed is perfect to capture the wooly water.
