They all work for me! Especially 1 and 3. How many practice runs did you need for 3?

Thanks Glen!

#3 was the 7th frame after we busted out the water. Had a fair bit of fun playing with that.

I have never seen bulldog clips used in that manner...
Crocodile clips maybe, but not bulldog clips...

Great work... but I'm still mystified why you went all the way to Cockatoo Island for those shots :-)

What can I say, I'm inventive!

Well between 3 shooters we shot a few different things that day, and had many ideas that didn't get done - it's easy to burn up a lot of time out there without realising it I discovered. It's just backdrop city. Beside, it's a 10 min ferry trip, it' not that far given I have stuff all decent locations near my place.

As dawesy said, we had plenty of ideas and between three shoots shot more then 10 distinct looks all within 200 metres of each other and that was running out of time to move the gear further afield. The plus side is you get a wide vairety of backdrops / textures , and things to interact with machinery, fences, plumbing etc and a good mixture of indoor / outdoor so its a safe location if the weather turns bad.
For me, given some of my ideas were a little out there, it was also a better location to bring out the gaffer tape, knife and create some 'violence' in the photos without causing undue concern from the general public.

lol, a little fake blood would have gone a long way here...looks like a fun day, i reckon a few more props in the composition would have helped, like for example that great crusty row of basins in the machine shed...also rather than just the bland brick wall maybe have some machinery in the backdrop also.. just some hindsight thoughts tho

never would have noticed...

knife and create some 'violence' in the photos without causing undue concern from the general public.

no kiddies around then... that would have been a hard one to explain - that said with a few lights and cameras around most people, including kids would be clued in..

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Actually we did have a captive audience a few times, actually for a different set that I'll post a few from shortly. The kids were the most interested, the parents didn't pay much attention, but the kids came back asking what it was for, if the knife was real and just sussing us out.
When we had the water and duct tape out, one of the security guards came past and had a little chat, he was more concerned we might be Pro's without a license then what we were actually getting up to.

Here is my take of two of the above shots, processed to be a bit more grungey. We had hoped to have a replica gun to use for some of these sets, but it didn't pan out so we had to modify with the sets we have. Gerry, some good points with the background we actually picked the wall to make it seem like a interogration / dungeon but the machines might of made for a more interesting setting.

Craig these shots..are exactly what I expect of you (as a model)!!

They ring through with similarities of the art you were into 15 years ago. I'm guessing you'd go with red wax instead of fake blood?

You know me pretty well, I actually thought about making some fake blood, and bringing some candles along but ran out of time on this trip. I also found a lot of old wire, but was talked out of twisting it around myself - like the earlier art you remember :) I'll stop be slack now and post some of my own pictures too!
