RevisitedHello everyone i've just put up some of my shots that i had previously posted, i've taken into account everything that was suggested, and i would love to know if you think i've imrpoved the shots or made them worse!
Thanks for looking Kristen 2 x Fuji xt1,vg-xt1 grip, Fujinon xf 18-55mm 2.8-4, Fujinon xf 14mm, Fujinon 56mm 1.2.
Re: RevisitedThe first looks better, but that colour balance still needs a tweak (colour is a pain in the backside isnt it?). The second has a tad too much brightness added, you have lost the detail in the dress, somewhere in the middle would be great!

Re: Revisited
I disagree. This is crying out for some selective PP. Leave the dress alone i.e. as in the before exposure. Bring the Groom up detail as you have in the second. Actually, if you can just get the grooms face, that would be best. What S/W are you using? EXIF is stripped so I can't tell. If NX2, use a control point with the effect circle pulled right in. If PS, set a mask with a fuzzy border to control the artifacts. Greg
It's easy to be good... when there is nothing else to do
Re: RevisitedVery subtle changes in the first, its hard to comment, for me anyway, I looked on two different monitors and on one monitor thought the 'before' was better than later on lookign on another monitor thought the 'after' was better
That said, I think teh 'before' on the first one... In the second, as greg mentioned I think selectice PP is the key here, the overall exposure is better on the 'before' however you need some local PP to get some more light on the face. Once all that is done I think you need to make it more contrasty, it loooks a little too grey scale rather than black and white in my opinion. maybe a bit like this? gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Revisitedthanks everyone,
I get my new macbook pro this week hopefully so as soon as that arrives i will get back to editing these shots to your suggestions, which i totally agree with. Its been awkward editing shots at the moment, my laptop (dell) screen was nicely stood on and cracked by my 2 year old, so i've had it connected to another dell screen and its got to be the worst screen to edit on, so as i said once i can get on my macbook i will give another go at editing, it means a lot to have you guys give such good and helpfull CC. So thanks guys. 2 x Fuji xt1,vg-xt1 grip, Fujinon xf 18-55mm 2.8-4, Fujinon xf 14mm, Fujinon 56mm 1.2.

Re: Revisited
Yeah, i can't wait to get it. Got cs3 to put on it, at least thats a step up from cs2 i currently use and i've also got some of Nik software to use on it too, so i can't wait to get it!! 2 x Fuji xt1,vg-xt1 grip, Fujinon xf 18-55mm 2.8-4, Fujinon xf 14mm, Fujinon 56mm 1.2.
Re: RevisitedI would agree with the others re selective fill light on the second.
The (after) first looks more purple/pink on my monitor and I think this suits the mood much better than the un-edited version.
