All are great. If I was to choose one over any other it would have to be #3, It holds my attention for longer, great clouds, colour toning and just enough softness to the wave action.

I like all of them, but I think the second one is the winner here.

I think that second needs another look, I have a number of versions of this composition, this one however, has some halos around that rock outcrop on the left - will have to fix that.

yeah, I have almost gotten used to getting up at teh stupid hour... there were some guys from the long reefage shoot and plenty of others - its a very popular spot by the looks of it. I was gonna push some dude into the ocean to steal his spot at one stage it was soo crowded :rotfl2:

The dude in the picture was a O/S tourist I think....

Nice series Gerry. I think Lee is primo as there is no color cast. (Do you get any if you stack the filters??]

I too prefer the second. It feels dynamic due to water movment. Do you have any with the waves flowing in?

Why is the RHS of the image quite dark? Did you rotate your grads that way?? :?: I think a little bit of balancing out may be a good idea.

There will be a comprehensive LEE filter review by Gerry soon. Bottom line is, they don't have a color cast which the cheaper versions sometimes have.

Hey Gerry, have you noticed any color shifts when you stacked them??

I think we need to do a cross camera comparison. I will use your Lees and you can use my Hitechs....

there was basically one fat black cloud mass which is in the right hand or left hand of each frame, the GND filters where aligned with teh horizon in all cases on this day.

zomg, I guess i am doing a review of them now eh... :rotfl2:

I have stacked the 0.9 and 0.3 with not noticeable colour casts, I have stacked them with the poloriser, you do get some strange crap there but that is definitely due to the polariser. I have stacked the 0.9 with a ND8, this works very well and the shots in this thread where taken with this combo (excludin the last, maybe? memorys gone :rotfl2: )

OK I think they are all great !

I did not really do any shots with and without the filters, however I have two shots that are fairly similiar in composition from teh same spot which might give a bit of an idea of the filter vs no filter.

Both images are SOC resized for webbie. The first shot was taken quite awhile ago with nothign but a polariser, the second shot was taken with a polariser and 0.9 GND lee filter. w/o lee GND

I am waiting for this review...
