Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichLots of bikes in Amsterdam...
For some reason nothing is straight... 3 wheeled BMW Isetta at the BMW Museum... Neuschwanstein Castle...
Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichThat last one is an amazing view. Where is it?

Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichAh ha! The limit of my castle culture is seeing the "replica" in the Disneyland parks!

Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & Munich
damn I find my self saying this alot lately, I must be obsessed! pano crop it i say, The cliff/mountains on the right create a very nice lead into the image and the subject, the castle! A pano would increase this imo. I could not resist but have a crack myself, I figure I ain't ever gonna get over to see it myself Let me know if you want it removed! gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichThe pano does look better.
Thanks for the example! Better put something in my signature about image editing approval.
Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichWell, it looks like you had a wonderful time Wink. Just out of curiosity, what was your itinerary? How long were you away for?

Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichWe moved around pretty quickly...
We landed in Paris 29th March. Amsterdam 2nd April. Berlin 5th April. Munich 8th April. Prague 11th April. Budapest 14th April. Vienna 17th April. Venice 20th April. Barcelona 23rd April. Paris 26th April. Few out of Paris for home 28th April. It was months of planning and research, but it all paid off and went perfectly. (The volcano dramas caused i few nervous moments thoughh).
Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & Munich
fyi, i forgot, the edits I did were basically crop, tonal contrast, global contrast and d-lighting. I reckon this is one image you should definitely revisit. with a small amount of work it could well be a stunner. gerry's photography journey

Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichThe cropped castle is brilliant!
What a place to live. I suppose you could see the sunrise AND sunset from home...
Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichLudwig certainly had a nice block. It's a shame he didn't get to enjoy it longer. His parents castle is down the hill from this one.
There's snow on the hill behind me from where i took the photo.
Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichThey're all good, the castle is wonderful. Sounds like you had fun?

Re: Wink's European Holiday: Amsterdam & MunichWe had a lot of fun. Wouldn't change a thing about the trip.
The only negative experience i had was 3 people trying to pick my pocket in Barcelona. That's where the R-Strap came in handy. I just let my camera down by my side so i had 2 arms to 'tell' these people i didn't want any of what they were 'selling'.
