New Zealand with an Olympus E-PL1

Finally got a day off today to do a bit of travel and see some familiar sights. We drove to Taupo for coffee, then headed for Turangi and the Desert Highway. Came across two car accidents and stopped and gave assistance at both, then headed up to the ski fields at Ruapehu. The day was magnificent, the photo opportunities endless. Here's a few taken with the E-PL1.

That chalet reminds me of Fawlty Towers :)

You have some very interesting looking JPG artifacts in #3, but all in all a great set.

What is the subject of the last? I cant work out what it actually is...volcanic springs?

Nice set out of the u4/3rds.

If I remember rightly, the Chalet used to be called Chateau Tongariro. Have they changed it's name? Did you get any skiing in, Ruapehu is a great spot for it as along as it isn't erupting...

Mud pool near Taupo (pronounced Tow-Paw according to my Mauri friends), close up shot, well, not too close. That stuff is hot.

Not sure, I didn't check on the name.

I love skiing, but too much footy equals two dicky knees which equals no skiing for this little black duck.

Ozi, Nice set and my favourite is the #1.

Brings back some memories! I remember once sitting there with a film camera trying to capture those mud bubbles as they burst....

Where are your sheep pictures?
