Sunrise EdenWent for a few days to the south coast in the rain this was the only sunrise that happen in 5 days we were there and the ship (to pick up wood chips) docked with the two tugs in attendance.
Re: Sunrise EdenNice colours, but I would have liked something in the foreground for the first two.
Because of the interest of the tanker, I find the third the best of these, but I can't help but feeling you missed the focus slightly. The tanker looks just a little fuzzy. Or is it just a heavy crop? Also, these would make excellent candidates for playing with PP. It would be good to get some of the detail back in the blown areas around the sun. Or is it completely blown? Did you do a RAW capture? Greg
It's easy to be good... when there is nothing else to do
Re: Sunrise EdenTony, the last one is a very nice sihouette, I think with just a touch of PP to bring out those rays a bit more it would be a very dramatic image.
click thru for a sharper version - its just the forum resizing that makes it fuzzy. I find you need to resize for below 800*800 to get it to not be resized by the forum soft. 775*775 works well.

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Sunrise EdenTony, these are the tweaks I had in mind, let me know if you want it removed.

Re: Sunrise EdenAnother vote for 775 with moderate sharpening.. WTF is progressive sharpen?
Gerry your rework is quite nice for the rays but I can't help but wonder whether the coarseness of the sea is taking away from this image. Perhaps spare that effect from the water. Would be interesting to see a placid water shot...
