Re: More from BerlinA nice set
#1 is probably too oof on the subject on the right for me (but I'm a bigot about focus) - I'd burn out the distracting bright white reflection in the middle and bottom as well #2 is a nice capture of everyday life (and boredom ) #3 probably my favourite #4 really like this too (but I like indoor architecture shots if anyone hasn't noticed ) D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: More from Berlin
Why would you be pissed off about having to work to 70 so a bunch of Greeks can retire at 50? Anyway, I love the first - you have captured something that may or may not have existed, but placed a context that tells a great story. Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Re: More from BerlinThanks for the feedback. Glad to hear that I'm no longer in my black phase
Isn't that always the case with a decisive moment? Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

Re: More from BerlinHCB would have liked those images.....you have captured the spirit, and the quality, of his classic style. That's no mean feat. Incidentally, what equipment are you using?

Don't ask, because I fear of what he may say and I thusly become green. Regards, Patrick

Re: More from Berlin
Thanks Matt, that's the biggest compliment I've heard. I'm using an M9 with a Voigtlander 35mm, 50 Summicron and Noctilux, though I'm contemplating getting rid of the Summi since I haven't been using it as much. I've gotten used to the 35mm prime.
Nothing to be green about, I'd still do the same with any camera as long as I could shoot at f2. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

True, however, in this world, there are objects which are just beautiful. I can write with a Bic pen, but writing with a Mont Blanc is much nicer. Regards, Patrick

Re: More from BerlinPiroStitch
I thought so. Nice combination. 35mm is my favourite street shooting focal length. It gets you, (and the viewer), involved with the subject. Keep doing that stuff because it's very good. Regards

Re: More from BerlinAbsolutely! I love how close I have to get with the 35 to get anything meaningful and there are other times where space means everything. It's trained me to become much quicker in everything. Love this combo and thoroughly recommend it!
