This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Joined the FOCUS Flickr group for a dawn seascape shoot at South Newport Tidal Pool over the weekend followed by some great breakfast company at a local cafe. It was a lovely morning to be out - the weather was very kind - a T-Shirt morning even at 6AM, very little wind and some nice cloud formations in the sky. Feedback, Comments and Suggestions Welcome... This first is a 2 minute long exposure at a quarter past 6 (about 35 minutes before sunrise) - taken with the 16-35/4 at 18mm @ f/11 and ISO 100 - with the Lee 0.9 hard grad and the Heliopan CPL Newport Streaks  For the following I had to bump the ISO (to 800) and open the aperture a little so I could get a faster shutter speed - I wanted texture in the water movement and not misty milk this time Peachy  Just on sunrise and we were getting varied colour in the sky at this stage Stranded  and a little after sunrise the clouds were getting heavier but we had a nice show of god rays on the horizon Ebb and Flow  and finally I returned to an earlier composition I liked with the rocks in the sand along the beach and coastline - and now with a moody sky and the conditions right for the shutter speed I wanted. 16-35/4 at 18mm and 1/4sec @ f/11 and ISO 100 Stormy Coast  D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro SticksRodney - My Photo BlogWant: Fast Wide (14|20|24)

They're all good, but nos 1,2, and 5 are sublime. These are seriously good landscapes Rodney.
(I need to learn how to take these water shots, but it means getting up early. I only live 5 minutes drive from any number of pristine beaches. I admit it, I am a slacko.)

great colours all round and the colour and water movement around those foreground rocks... just out of this world !!!
1 shot out of focus is a mistake, 10 shots out of focus is an experiment,
100 shots out of focus is a style!, anonymous.

Like the others, #2 is the standout here for me as well - that sweeping S of white foam running down the image holds the eye in a way that's missing in the other similar shots,
