Wings Over Illawarra Photo Safari - SunriseAs prompted by Rodney, here are some of my images from the very long day.
Pre Dawn light A second chance sunrise Cameron

Re: Wings Over Illawarra Photo Safari - SunriseI like the feel of the first Cam - I reckon it's probably got a bit too much vignette esp at the bottom and maybe a compo with a little bit more of the pool coming in on the right might have been better. But the mood is certainly there.
The second I presume is when you were shooting with the long lens The last I probably like the most - although I'm in two minds about cropping the bottom off (from where the non reflective sand meets the left edge - you loose the reflection of the sun tho) D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: Wings Over Illawarra Photo Safari - SunriseThanks Rodney, it is unfortunate about the extent of the vignette I will have to have a whirl to see if I can remove a bit more of it

Wings Over Illawarra Photo Safari - SunriseThe last is a cracker. Accept the comment about the bottom left but feel it is balanced by the top right. Has a slide film quality to it.
Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Re: Wings Over Illawarra Photo Safari - SunriseThanks Patrick, thanks Matt

Re: Wings Over Illawarra Photo Safari - SunriseI like the last image the best Cameron, I like the balance the composition has and the way the pool edge leads you thru the image.
I would however consider correcting or matching the colour cast on the sand such that the tones match thoughout the image. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Wings Over Illawarra Photo Safari - SunriseThanks Gerry
