Carpet of Gold...Totally not sure about this one so if anyone has any suggestions....
Driving by this location one very foggy morning and couldn't resist stopping and taking a shot of these trees and leaves Carpet of Gold and as I had the fisheye on board anyway I grabbed this curvy shot of the girls heading into their fog filled school D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: Carpet of Gold...I don't blame you for taking that first shot...if I was driving past I would stomp on the brakes to get that one. Having said that, there is something not quite right with the colour balance. The colours looked forced, over saturated and slightly false. Perhaps you need to play around with that and see if it can be improved. Or convert to B&W maybe?
The second image is beautiful! The girls look so natural and are enjoying having their picture taken, the background is beautiful, subtle and realistic. The image quality is excellent. Regards

Re: Carpet of Gold...
Thanks Matt - I wanted to keep the colour (because thats what drew me to this) - In the following I've slightly desaturated and devibranced (is that even a word) and pulled back even more on the blues and aquas and also removed a bunch of the purple fringing which was against the sky areas - thoughts?
