What a difference a few seconds can make to a seascape composition - both good but both very different.

Two shots taken consecutively just one minute apart - same framing and composition - the difference is the wait for and the timing of the moment to take the photo based on the movement of the water and predicting where it will go during the exposure interval.

The first a longer exposure +2/3rd stop exp comp to compensate for the darker foreground - the effect of the long exposure a softer dreamy look to the clouds and sky and what water is moving turns to glass (polariser) or milk

The second a shorter exposure and the whole scene is darker - notably the sky - and the shorter time also results in less time for motion of the sky and water and thus all the moving components have a more stringy look where we can actually see the path of motion and a very different look to the same scene above

Here's a thought... all be it little late for these images...

Take a trio of images with the third stopping motion.
Adjust to expose the sky similar across the set but have three different water motions in each frame.

Something to consider for a future image set maybe?

Interesting idea Mj - I could fairly easily adjust the two exposures to have the sky exposure relatively similar (darken the first and lighten the second). I actually have a bigstopper version of the same compo (it's obviously radically diffferent ) - I've actually already got the bigstopper vs normal comparison ready to post Maybe I'll pst that soon and we can think of merging all three into a triptych
