New lensNo ducks this time. Purchased a Canon 24-70mm F4 yesterday. Briefly put it through it's paces.
Over exposed but this was the first shot. Robyn020616a1 by Ozimax, on Flickr Urunga3 by Ozimax, on Flickr Urunga2 by Ozimax, on Flickr Urunga1 by Ozimax, on Flickr President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Re: New lensLove the last two. The boardwalk shot just takes my eyes for a walk, and the last one messes with what's left of my mind.
The first needs a bit of fill to camera left. And softening. You'll cut your lady up with such sharp glass. g.

Re: New lensI agree with the above comments. However, I like the first photo best.
Re: New lensAre u liking the new lens? I flogged my mums 24-105 F4 for a few days while in NZ and while I loved the clarity and crispness with colour I actually changed back to my cheap 50mm 1.8.
Have been throwing up the idea of your lens or the 105.. I like the 2nd pic again for the clarity where i think this lens excels Canon EOS 40D

Re: New lens
I owned the 24-105 for years and wore it out. There's most probably not much difference between the two models except that the 24-70 seems much lighter, and has a macro function, which I haven't used yet. I picked mine up for $899 brand new from Camerapro in Brisbane, complete with Canon Aust warranty etc. Cheers. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)
