Lift Off!
I spent this morning at Cronulla Beach at the Jesus PRO AM surfing comp. Another mini meet missed due to work!!!

It's a good little lens and at the time that I purchased it in late 2000/early 2001 it was around the $800 mark. Bought it to go with my F80 camera. Haven't used it a great deal.

It really is great thanks Kipper. I have found that I need to pull back just a bit from the 300 to get really crisp shots. Had heaps of fun today at Cronulla took well over 200 pictures. Now the fun bit of deciding which one gets used in the article. Mal

I never really gave it much of a chance with the D70. With the F80 never really experimented to find the sweat spot. Sounds similar to the 300G in regards to pulling it back a bit from max focal length.
