Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

I do social pics each friday night at a goth club here in Brisbane. Last week was my first try at shooting with the SB600 slaved to the D70 and off on a tripod. I'm fairly happy with the results but hope to do better than it this weekend.

Very nice shot Mark- the nurse in me is coming out now, they look tragically ill, anaemic in fact! Reminds me of a very amusing story of my late teens, I went to this Goth 'party' out in the middle of nowhere, I was probably about 19 or so. Wasn't really into it but had a friend who was...anyway, to cut a long story short I was out of there in no time when one of the people at the party purposely cut his arm on the fence outside and then started to suck his own blood, gets worse..he was offering anyone else some who wanted it. Yep, I was outa there quick smart! :)

Ps - Someone should tell her that the bra goes UNDER the clothes :P

Mark,

I'd be checking the WB .... there's too much colour in the subjects' skin.

Thanks a lot guys, for the comments and the laughs. :)

Geoff, this is actually her in "covering up mode" I've got one other shot of her with far more skin on show.

Fun lot the goths, they always manage to present me with really interesting and oft kinky subjects. Can certainly do without drunken goths offering blood though :P

My Favourite
Love the juxtaposition of yin/yang, good/bad, black/white
Maybe not the best "technical" pic, but best "image" IMHO.

hehe, thanks you've reminded me to get a print of that for the fellow in the shot who is hosting a fiendish party tomorrow before a new nightclub opening.

I just wish the lighting had been a tad brighter to reduce noise. If not for his expression I'd never have posted that shot.
