An uninvited guest

I was fooling around in my backyard this evening, trying to recall which lens is best at which shooting distance in conjunction with the 2x Macro TC. I hadn't used that in a while... Anyway, while I concentrated on the pollen of this hibiscus flower, a funky little spider snuck in and planted itself on one of the petals (click for large):

I didn't see it until the RAW processing in bibble. If I had spotted it sooner I'd have given it more attention, and maybe even put it in focus

I suppose it is one of those sneaky camouflage spiders that wait for unsuspecting insects to decend on the flower?

Cheers
Steffen.

Hey steffen, it's always good when you catch something in your photo that you didn't see. It also can be a negative as I tell myself "You should have checked the framing/composition better!"

No offense but that photo is like looking at the sun

It is, isn't it? :)

I find high-key suits those flowers very well.

Cheers
Steffen.
