Busy bee in colour

Here's the shot I decided on for the competition. I perfer it in colour somehow. :)

Thoughts, criticisms? Anything I overdid in post processing? Anything appreciated, cheers! :)

Your picture of the bee enveloped by subtle petal shades of pinks and reds is nature at its best.

You are right IMHO, it does look much better in colour.

I feel it's got about 10% too much sharpening. There is a bit of jpg 'artefacting' on the very edges of the petals especially on those on the left. Otherwise it looks good.

The red is very intense. i wonder if you could play with a curve to adjust the brightness a little bit, to give it a little bit more contrast, just to make the whites/brights stand out a bit more....just a thought or two.

It's a nice photo, however imho the subject is a little bit underexposed (fill flash?).

Thanks for the critiques guys, much appreciated! I'm still getting used to processing RAW and using PS, still lots of learning still to do. :) Thanks again!
