I finally decided it was time to start shooting in RAW. And I have to say this... if you don't already... do it! The amount of control and quality you have over a shot is astounding.

I hope you enjoy my first attempt at processing RAW.

Very nice macro pics, xerubus!
You'll get all of them by shooting RAW and I'm 100% in RAW with all 3 cam bodies, I forgot how to switch the camera back to JPEG :wink:
I just shoot and NC will help me once I backed my base.

thanks for the kind words...

i took 2 shots of each subject today.. one in raw.. and the other in jpg... all raw shots are obviously the winners and it is amazing the difference it makes.

RAW is the way to go. BTW - excellent shots, colours outstanding.

What lens were you using?

Place a Canon 500D on your 70-200VR and you'll get a stunning macro shot (manual/ tripod).
