Great Shot, below-0
Now Matt k, I challenge you to put your theory of neat and in the middle to the test in this photo. The opera house is in the middle but my eye goes immediately to the girl in the foreground.
Well done.

Which lead you to the sails.

Whats going on there? why so busy?

That not-a-model: her handbag and shoes SOO don't match. ;)

You could try playing around with the sky to give an impression of impending doom & gloom storm clouds, as it is very "Melbourney". ;).

below-0, nice work, good shot

onyx - correct on the shoes/handbag observation, disgraceful

onyx - there are very few melbourney shots incorporating the opera house, regardless of the sky

MCWB - can't blame me for this one, I flew out at 18:00 on Friday :D

Below -0 captured the moment beautifully (but I am a sucker for dark and moody shots)

Quick you need to photoshop the sky out and replace it with a graduated blue sky. Sydney never has rain!

that's a wonderful shot... plenty to keep your eyes busy without over doing it...

the girl on the right did steal my focus.. and it wasn't because of the poor bag and shoe choice, it was because she was all alone.

that shot would be wonderful in a true black and white.

congrats.

Great shot - lots of interest everywhere

Looks like KillaKoala's ship in the background too. No-one picked that up. Distracted by white sails, lonley women and handbag/shoes mismatching :D

Well done below 0!!

Like the composition of this shot. The lines lead the eye well.
Obviously there are many men on this board who have been educated by their wives / partners about fashion - shoes, bags, belts, etc. Hmm...could always photoshop the shoes to black!

me too... My eyes went straight to the girl as she was an isolated element in a busy pic...

I love the curve of the railing

I had a few drinkies at the Opera bar the other night. It was even busier than this picture.

Oh, and no, it's not my ship.
