I am quiet annoyed as I past this well know Durras landmark many times but only managed to stop with the camera in horrible light and drizzle. However I tried to cover it up by going with a B&W which is far from my speciality. What do you think, any good ? Or how could I make it better ?

I hope I have the right image. The B/W treatment really suits the burn't out barn. The burnt out ruins of what once was is capture well.

What a great subject. Pity the sky's a bit blown out, but that's the weather. I think the black and white suits it, really like it.

What an amazing subject you've found. If anything, i would like to see a little less contrast to brighten the dark bits a bit. Great find.

Craig, you have to go back when the weather is better. I like this shot but I am also interested to see if the tin sheets are rusted in their colour..
If you shoot it from the front, does any light enter from the back or sides?
What about an inside shot with the light beams streaming in?

Steve,

Here is another angle and I've tried to keep it less contrasty, how is this ?

Thanks for all the postive comments.

That's pretty good Craig. There is a lot more detail in the second image and i can even see right through the building :)

There are some unwanted tentants that you'd have to get to vacate first, there was aleast 6 cows hiding from the drizzle inside (one is visible in the second shot).

Greg does have all the lingo down pat! (Geoff how long till you've settled ony our new home?)
