Viewing Craig's recent shots of his Dad it inspired me to take this candid of my Dad early this morning..Comments welcomed as always:

I saw this while I was at Stubbsy\'s.
Great image and nice black and white but the composition seems a tad tight on the right side.
Perhaps a slightly different crop?

I can see it now. Nice image geoff I like the eye contact you've managed to achieve, lighting is good and B7W was a good choice, it speaks volumes:)

I agree with Leigh that a different - tighter - crop would help an already good image, Geoff.

Seriously though... I like the shot but would probably be tempted to crop it to a square format - thereby removing the pen in his pocket and some of the space at the top...
The resemblance is uncanny

Hi Geoff. Personally I would have tried taking a step around to the right, just to avoid having the brightness in the background. Your dad's pose is great though

Like the B&W and love the eye contact, while I don't mind the crop I'd like to see a different crop to compare it against perhaps the square John suggested ?

What does your dad think of the image Geoff? I like the eye contact too but I find the window on the right a little distracting. I don't find the pen in the pocket a problem, in fact, I think it gives a little bit of information about your dad. (If only that he likes pens in his pocket!)
