Hi,

I'm finally finding a little bit of time to process and share
a few photos from last years vacation to SEA.

An enourmos amount of soldiers died in WWII constructing the Burma-Siam Railway.
I borded the Death Railway train at Nam Tok and travelled through forests before crossing the River Kwai.
The train was on its way to Kanchanaburi when it eventually derailled !
Thank God nobody was hurt.

Here are a few photos fron the Death Railway in northern Thailand.

It was all very exciting and after an hour somebody made the smart decision to decouple the derailed waggons and continue to Kananchaburi.

I have been on that train and route, several times same as visited the Allied Forces POW museum. Great ride and experiences
Would like to come back in the near future.

Hi all,

In Thailand they have a range of very cool boats.
Some of them could be waterskying boats.
They go like hell and many of them look like there is a hughe BAMIX
attached to the rear of them.
Some have a 6cyl engine with a very long shaft and prop.
Have a lok at this one, captured on the river Kwai.

We have similar engine (not boat) in Southern VN, and its nick name is "Shrimp Engine" to Vietnamese is " May Duoi Tom".

Glad to see you are finally posting photos from the trip. We went on that train trip in 2003, but skipped it this time, although we visited my wife's father in Kanchanaburi and made a quick trip to the bridge. Nice looking photos. Thanks
