Nearly the last lot of Welsh Landcapes...

OK - you're probably getting a little bored of these by now, but here is my penultimate set of landscapes from North Wales... I've saved my favourite 2 for later
The first four images were taken in and around the beautiful little village of Beddgelert.
The latter two are taken at the Llanberis Pass through Snowdonia.
When I was a child, I used to swim in the river in the last shot... (not in Winter of course)...
If you look carefully, you can see the water from #5 gushing out of the wall in #6.

Definitely not sick of looking at these, it's been fun travelling around with your through your photos, great stuff.
#1 Love it but would crop a little off the bottom, just a few pixels... the water / reflection I find distracting
#2 I would of liked a little above the tree, and perhaps moving to the left could of got more leading lines flowing into the tree (but I'm guessing as to what is behind the wall
#3 I like this one too (is it the same tree?) the sky looks a tad hott but the foreground is nicely exposed (any chance you bracketed this shot?)
#4 This one doesn't quite work for me.. I think because of the shadows on the right bank croping out the bottom third improves it to my eye as it removes most of the distracting shadow
#5 This is gorgeous, love the rocks, the grass and the ruggedness of it all, doesn't look like an easy climb to the top.
#6 The last one I reall like, it has a lot of interesting detail, in the tree, the rocks and the wall, not to mention the flowing water that seems to tie it altogether, great stuff!

4 is extra special though beautiful contrasting tones

Thanks Craig & Wendell (are you back yet Wendell?)...
I've now fixed the crop in #1... there was something funny going on there anyway due to a lens correction that I performed...
#3 - yes it is the same tree and yes I did bracket, but the shots were hand-held, so it'll take some fiddling to use the sky from the other one... but now you've challenged me
#4 - i see what you mean about the shadows, but I left the bottom in because I liked the ripples in the foreground... I might lighten up the shadowy area so that it's less distracting...

Once again vibrant series John. Love #1 and #5 with the stream leading the eye up that all too imposing hill with a Lowepro bag filled with gear and carrying a heavy tripod

When I looked again at my bracketed shots of the sheep pen & tree, I found one that was slightly better exposed... The sky is still a little blown, but there's a lot more cloud detail... I think it works better...

That spot if far better then the first one your posted, a little blown is forgivable but the other shot was more then just a little blown. The extra cloud detail completes the atmosphere and feel for this shot.
Now where is the shot with mini-leek locked up in the sheep penn ?

John, 4, 5 and 6 are excellent.
I can't believe I've really visited Wales that much, and it's not far from where I was living. Your shoits have definately inspired me to visit there more extensively when I get back eventually.

Shame on you Matt...
One tip though - if you do go for photography, don't go in Winter... It's much more pleasant / predictable in April -September...
