Posted: Fri Jan 27, 2006 8:36 pmHi Nito, it was quite windy and I didnt have time to set up the tripod. So, being hand held, I was after speed rather than DOF. Even at 1/500s the other shots of the flowers on at the roadside went in the bin due to movement.

I guess considering the wind, and using Shutter Priority, it was either this or no shot at all
Perhaps next time you could try boosting the ISO level (if you didn't already), to try and get a more beneficial aperture ?

Thanks Simon, been meaning to change it for a while given my obsession
One of the good things about this forum is the advice and from that the learning process. I guarantee the next time I am thinking of sacrificing DOF for speed I will be thinking about the ISO.

Don't think I have taken the aperture above 2 yet.
I think maybe the green is perhaps oversatureted though.
