On ya bikeI thought I would share some shots from a ride me and some friends went on in darabin parklands all shots with the 18-70 kit lens some with unfortunatly on board flash.
I find the hardest part of these sort of shots is trying to get a clean background sometimes it's just not possible your thoughts are welcome
Not bad shots.
They are certainly all very sharp. I used to do a lot of Mountain Biking (I miis my old Kona bike) and it is hard to get a good background, but you know what, don't worry about the background just try to blur it out a little by using DOF. This can be tricky and takes a lot of trial and error, but if the foreground action is good enough noone will notice the background. Cheers, W00DY Andrew
Nikon D3 and lot's of Nikon stuff!!
The second and third ones are sensational. Background really highlights the subject and I think you've done a great job with the onboard flash.
These guys are really talented on those bikes. I've got an old Stumpjumper which I take the Manly Dam occasionally but I wouldn't dream of attempting that stuff. I'm sure the boys are happy with your shots. Regards
Jonesy
I too used to ride around the Manly Dam a bit, some tough-ish trails around there...the first time I did it I was quite unfit and nearly died...alas, I am still here to tell the story. Nice shots though nodabs! Geoff.
Wow, #2 and #3 are amazing... Never did that on the old Malvern Star!!! I thought we were advanced as kids when we stuck the playing card in the back wheel to go vroom, vroom...
Great shots... Cheers, Mudder Aka Andrew
