Double Island Point - QueenslandHi all.
Appreciate any comments you may have on these shots. I'm in the process of getting my space on Kristine's site but I believe she is out of action at the moment so I'm posting here http://gallery123691.fotopic.net/ in the interim. Though I've shot a couple of hundred photos, these are the first I've managed to post online for your perusal, enjoyment and/or amusement. Thanks, Simon
Hi Simon, nice pics but im no expert but seems to be a lot of noise in the pictures i looked at, not sure what ISO setting you used?

Thanks for the comments.
ISO 200 but I may have oversharpened a bit. I also adjusted the levels and upped the saturation slightly. With the sunrise shot, I was trying to acheive the lowest possible shutter speed hoping to get a blurred effect with the surf. I didn't have a tripod with me so there was a bit of camera shake which resulted in a slight blur overall. Lesson learned: get the focus right to start with and you don't have to fix it in Photoshop later.

Simon,
As Matt would say, neat and in the middle. Do you have a CPL yet? I'm thinking that the second shot might have benefited from the extra contrast and colour depth that a CPL might have brought out. g.
